Living in historic Ybor City and working at their nearby professional office was a given for the Clients. When a vacant lot became available, building a custom-designed home was an immediate opportunity. The 2,600 sq ft home with two beds and two and one-half baths is built on a 0.07-acre lot. The exterior of the home is designed in line with the Ybor Historic District, Barrio Latino, guidelines. The interior is modern with a nod to the historic Ybor district utilizing warm brass with clear glass and sleek lines.
An elevator and private pool patio add convenience and a cool area to relax. The home construction utilizes energy efficient envelope materials, including insulated concrete foam (ICF) block walls and solar electric power. The solar panel system will generate excess power and this excess is being donated to a charity of the Client’s choice through TECO’s share program. The residence is in construction.
