The design consisted of a complete interior gut and rehab to a two story existing building that included 12,000 interior sqft and exterior site design included new entry canopy, site elements that consisted of a site sign, cascading steps that met the street and a site bench to include a exterior sculpture. The interior was in need of several building upgrades to meet egress codes that included a new elevator. Sol Design Studio (Sol) was approached by the Client to enhance the exterior facade and give a unique contemporary brick building a street presence that’s located on a heavily traveled street in South Tampa. The solution was to use an inverted steel and glass canopy to create a simple but unique design.
Transglobal occupied 4,000 sqft of the two-story building. The area is divided into five office suites of various sizes with confernce rooms and other amenities. Sol’s solution for Transglobal’s interior visual brand consisted of clean crisp white volumes, ebony stained polished concrete floors, frosted glass interior storefront glazing and teknion systems furniture.
