Sun City Center Community selected Sol Design Studio (Sol) through the RFP process to work with the community to design new energy-efficient updated facilities compatible with the overall community architecture. Sol was tasked with updating the community’s entryway with a brighter, more modern appearance. Sol worked closely with the building committee and at community design presentations to design these buildings in line with the community input. The five projects all took into account resident accessibility whether by car, golf cart, bike or walking plus the components for an energy-efficient envelope and interior components within the budget parameters.
Welcome & Information Center- 1,300 sqft, Multi-Purpose Building – 5,245 sqft, Samaritan Services Organization Building – 2,055 sqft, Library Expansion – 1,600 sqft, Café Expansion – 1,640 sqft.
The Energy efficiency components consisted of: EBS custom energy-efficient wall panels, Energy-efficient windows, Metal roof with augmented roof insulation exceeding code requirements and LED light fixtures
Sol worked to provide creative design solutions to the Building Design Committee in line with the budget and to keep the project on schedule.
