Mountain Creek Resort, a year-round vacation destination, was refreshing select public areas. Management asked Sol Design Studio (Sol), to update the Jack and Otto quick-serve food retail space. In keeping with the resort design, the update included the resort rustic style with modern finishes and clean lines.
The design inspiration was the down-hill ski. The entrance and wall behind the serving counter incorporate this shape into the design. The wall behind the serving counter is also covered with horizontal wooden skis, bindings still in place. Other design selections included an antler chandelier bringing in an element found throughout the resort and sleek quartz countertops. Light colors were used on the walls with focused lighting creating an inviting environment.
