Retro and fun with a contemporary twist was the design assignment for an 80’s and 90’s style tavern in downtown Tampa. The vibe is created using memorabilia from TV shows, video games, board games, sports all providing inspiration for the interior design packed with character for patrons to enjoy.
Sol Design Studio working with the Client, embraced the theme, designing a ceiling sculpture with LED Light rods and hanging ceiling globes that is a large version of the still popular “Ker-Plunk! a blast from the past with a cool look and attitude!”. Colors reflect the era. Wall murals pick-up on the popular trends of the times. Pin-ball machines, video and board games are ready for play. A niche seating area has enclosed displays of sports and rare memorabilia. The theme is carried to the restrooms with Mr. and Mrs. Pacman designs and a walk towards an infinity mirror.
