Charles (Carlos) Molnar is Managing Principal and founder of SOL DESIGN STUDIO LLC, a Florida Corporation with Hillsborough Minority Certification. Carlos is a registered architect in five states. Carlos and the design team collaborate with clients to design the project’s overarching vision. The team then optimizes that vision, selecting quality materials within established budgets.
As Managing Principal, Carlos is responsible for all aspects of the design process, client relationships, and company resource allocation. Carlos has strong experience in the field of architecture, planning, historic preservation, and design with more than 20 years of experience. He has completed projects throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. He offers specialized knowledge and proven ability in public and private facilities planning, hospitality, residential, institutional, and commercial design of varying types and sizes plus master planning and urban design.
Carlos is a former AIA Tampa Bay President and State Representative. Carlos offers his time as an Advisor, Mentor, and Thesis Juror at the University of South Florida’s College of Architecture and Community Design and served as an Adjunct Professor for eleven years.
Carlos also a registered Inspector for the Safety Assessment Program, as first responders to Natural Disasters for the purpose of immediate evaluation of any structure’s ability to be re-occupied after the event to safeguard the public.
Outside of the office, Carlos is the proud father of three kids with passions in Fencing, Music, and Zoos.
